Food Pantry
According to the research done by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, 49 million Americans live in “food insecure” households, meaning they do not know where their next meal is going to come from. To alleviate the national hunger crisis hitting families across America, Maryam Masjid hosts a hunger prevention program to help both individuals and families (both Muslims and non-Muslims) from going hungry. Maryam Masjid pantry utilizes its effective programs that target the West Riverside impoverished community; thereby, bringing life, nourishment and hope one meal at a time. Following the ordinance of Allah to feed the needy, we feed over 600 families every year in our vicinity. We would like to encourage you to participate in our efforts by volunteering and donating food items and funds to ensure that we can support our community.
Are you in need of assistance? Our food panty is generally open on Friday at Maryam Masjid between 1 PM and 2:30 PM and on Sunday between 11 AM and 2 PM. We recommend that you please call +1 (310) 721-1443 before visiting.
